Thanks so much for the comment, James. Because it's so hard to gauge who (if anyone) is reading the site, let alone whether or not they're enjoying it, it's always great to hear something positive. We'll try to keep up the pace and continue to write things worth reading. :)

Your review convinced me to pick up a copy of Super Mario Brothers Wii.
I feast upon your reviews, by the way, I guess because I have known Nick for some number of years and understand that he is a real person... who plays games I like to play?
Aaron I like you too.
Keep up the good work, both of you.

I think that's absolutely fair to call me out on what I said. I have only played the Left 4 Dead 2 demo on Live, and it's the same feeling as it was with the first game: it works fine and it's by no means broken, but if you have the choice (which I did) I would throw my support behind the PC version for the reasons listed above. But I didn't mention what's the most important aspect of deciding on a platform for a co-op game: friends. Even if I prefer Steam and free user add-ons to paying for L4D DLC on Live, I wouldn't have purchased the sequel on PC if none of my friends were too. It's a game that relies on a group of pals to get the best experience out of it, so I certainly neglected that aspect. Go go Xbox 360 if your friends are all playing L4D2 on it.

As far as Dragon Age, you're right: I haven't played either console version. Silicon Sasquatch doesn't get to play multiple copies of one title, considering we have to buy games ourselves without making money on this website. So my opinions are entirely based off of a feature set I know exists on the PC, and not the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions. That's in terms of the toolset, and a camera view (an old-school Baldur's Gate/Icewind Dale, top-down isometric) that can improve the outcome of some battles in my experience on the PC. My judgement is also, unfortunately, based on small paragraphs of text from multiple reviews I've read across the Internet. IGN, the Escapist and others mention the console versions' technical problems compared with the PC, but still give the games extreme praise or high scores. Then again, Giant Bomb's review states the PC copy is superior because of its hotbar layout, and only includes one line about the technical difference. Opinions, opinions.

I apologize for not disclosing my full experiences (or lack thereof) when making my comments. But to be fair, these backlogs aren't reviews -- they're essentially editorials on games we've played recently. I may feel strongly about the DA and L4D2 experience on PC in a lighter post like this, but in a full review I can -- and will -- only speak for the console I played the game on.

Thank you for the comment, Weston. I'm glad someone (even someone I know) is willing to take us to the mat for what we write. It shows there's at least a minimal bit of interest in what we're blathering on about.

To say they are in fact better on PC than on Xbox live is quite a statement considering you have not played either on Xbox. Is it not?
