Apparently an Android version is on the way; cross-platform play would be awesome. And the third race (Dwarves!) are coming out next week.

Thanks, I don't want to take this long of a hiatus again soon!

What do *I* think? I think this is echoing music in a lot of ways. In order to pull off the self-published thing properly, you must be an established company; only a band like Radiohead could break down the wall of pay-what-you-want for a download-only album announced semi-immediately. Ditto Mr. Trent Reznor with his sprawling four-disc ambient album not too long after. This works because Double Fine and Tim Schafer are known quantities, but it doesn't mean the smaller games aren't viable via Kickstarter, either.

I think in the immediate future this will wake the console platforms up and we'll see an even greater focus on downloadable games. PC gaming has almost completely shifted over to that manner with Steam becoming the de facto standard; undoubtedly, downloads offer a better profit margin than stores do, and you can't sell a download back to GameStop.

That's just my educated guess. We see it working on iOS and Android, too, and I think the time has come for it on console games. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

I see "427" and my brain instantly goes to Shelby Cobra or Ford GT-40. Yeah, I'm a car guy.

Wish I had my Xbox over here to play Iron Brigade, too, the demo was tons of fun.

Thank god he caught that almost two years later. Wouldn't want to let that infringement ruin things in such a short amount of time.
